Illustration Ulyana Sergeenko Spring 2014 Couture



Ulyana Sergeenko is one of my favorite designers of this moment. She is young she is new she is fresh. She brings (costume) history (and not only in the form of brainless 'vintage'... I hate 'vintage') and femininity back in to the contemporary fashion image. In a way that the old houses are not capable of, because they have a strict style to hold on to. 
I hope you like this illustration I did of one of her pieces of her Spring 2014 Couture collection. 

Ulyana Sergeenko is een van mijn favoriete ontwerpers van het moment. Ze is jong ze is vernieuwend ze is verfrissend. Ze brengt de (kostuum) geschiedenis terug (en niet alleen in de vorm van 'vintage'... ik haat 'vintage') en vrouwelijkheid terug in het hedendaagse mode beeld. Op een manier die oude modehuizen nooit hadden kunnen doen omdat ze een strenge stijl hebben waar ze aan vast moeten houden.
Ik hoop dat jullie deze Illustratie die ik gemaakt heb naar een van haar stukken  uit haar Lente 2014 Couture collectie.

    Oh my gosh, you are so amazing at drawing. I see what you mean when you say your first love isn't photography, but drawing. Wow. Did you take art classes? This is amazing. I don't know much about fashion but I think everyone can appreciate a bit of art!

    Love your sketch a lot! I know you've probably heard this a lot, but your style is unique and your rendering is very beautiful with the fact that you worked on a dark paper. So bravo for you! Absolutely jealous

    Fits like a glove, I would however recommend you get loops sewn into the sides to hold the sash in place. The loops they have are very flimsy and I broke one before I even got the dress to the cleaners.
